This
Virginia Off-Road Series race is the Monster of our adventure
triathlons, perfect for anyone who thinks they have some endurance this
time of the year (and are up for a REAL a$$ kicker) . Competitors must
have some experience in all disciplines of the race and should expect to
be on the course for a minimum of 6-7 hours). Athletes will register as
SOLO Kayak Racers or as 2 person teams which will compete in 3
categories: Male, Female, and Coed. The paddling
will take place on the
Rappahannock
River. There are some decent rapids on the 10 mile river section, so be
ready to get wet. The mountain bike and run are challenging with good
climbs, great single track, and fire roads. In addition to the 3 triathlon
disciplines, racers will have to successfully complete 1 or 2 surprise
challenges. Free post race barbeque from our local
Virginia Barbeque and beer from local
Blue & Gray Brewery are guaranteed to all competitors. This is set up
to possibly become the best time you will have at a race of this kind in
2008, so come out and join us for this adventure.
