What are the Fast
& Furious 2 Hours of Lodi all about?
|
This will be the first year of this
race and the first of its kind - a SHORT, night lap only
race. There are no teams, so it is basically a
back-to-the-basics mtb race with the "usual" categories.
What's different, however, is that everyone will race a
short lap as many times as possible in 1 1/2 hours (and
then party for a Fast and Furious 1/2 hour for a total
of 2 hours) - and it's all in the dark. The first three
in each category with the most laps are in for the
prizes. Race starts at 7 p.m., so you should have no
trouble getting home (with a designated driver) after
you had one of our brews. Better yet - just get a hotel
room in Fredericksburg and go out downtown!!
The trails are fast with some windy,
rooty, and hilly sections. I won't decide on the course
until a week beforehand, but if you would like to
pre-ride the trails, follow the directions below. Please
make sure to leave a donation in the donation box, so
that the landowner can keep the trails open for us!!

Perks: |
NONE - COME AND RACE!! BYOD and I will
provide a taste of our local brew. PRINCETON
TEC LIGHTS MIGHT BE THERE TO PROVIDE
RENTAL LIGHTS - I haven't talked to them, yet,
but they are usually awesome, so I hope they
come through!! We will have plugs to charge some
lights, but these are limited in number. I am
still on a hunt for a title sponsor, so we'll
see what happens!

The trails of Lodi Farm are on the private
property of Mrs. Grigg. PLEASE respect the land
and its owner by leaving the farm as you found
it - take your trash with you. Please
give Mrs. Grigg thanks, HUGS and a hand shake if
you run into her - we couldn't continue this
awesome race without her support of our sport!

Until September 1: $20. After that until 2 days
before race time $30. Race day: $40

Directions: |
I-95 to Exit 130 - Rte. 3 South/East at
Fredericksburg. Proceed ~7 miles, pass under
power lines. Turn left at Hollywood Farm Road
(second crossing of SR 601). Proceed 1 mile. Do
NOT cross RR tracks. Turn right onto gravel road
and follow signs.

Parking: |
First come, first served. There
are 2 fields available and everything is close
to the tents. Please make sure to squeeze in and
don't park on the trails.

Day Registration and Packet Pick-up: |
Registration is open at the
tents from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. "Packet pickup"
is only available race day at the tents until
7:30 p.m. |
